The EHR is free. You only pay for billing services.
Everything up to the claim is free: the EHR — chart, clients, scheduling — the session recording, in the office or on the call you already use, and the note written from the transcript. No monthly fee, no card. Billing is the one thing with a price, and it costs nothing until an insurer has paid the claim. Farela builds the claim from what you documented and posts the payment back to the claim it belongs to — you review, sign, and press Submit, under your own NPI.

A session becomes a note, a claim, and a payment — 1:28. Everything you see up to the claim is free.
What's free
Everything up to the claim costs nothing.
The EHR — chart, clients, scheduling — the session recording, transcript and AI note, and the Practice Better sync have no monthly fee and no card on file. Not a trial that runs out, not a three-client tier. The only thing Farela draws a line around is the claim: it's the one thing with a price. If you keep billing the way you do today, Farela never sends you a bill.
Already charting in Practice Better? Keep it. Farela reads your clients and their insurance from Practice Better and nothing is written back — record one session here, read what Farela wrote, and decide from there.
Why free? Farela earns only when a claim you sent through it gets paid, and a good note is what makes a good claim. If the claim doesn't pay, neither do you — which is the only reason the EHR can be free. If we're wrong about you, you've lost nothing, and your notes are still yours.
What Farela does
Four things. That's the whole product.
The note comes from the recording
Record the session. Farela writes a structured note with quotes pulled from the transcript, so every line traces back to something that was said. You review it and sign — the note is yours, not the AI's.
An AI scribe stops here. Farela keeps going.
The claim comes from the note
Units from the real length of the session, not from memory. Diagnoses from what you documented. Member ID checked against what the payer last paid under — for this client, or for someone else on the same policy; the telehealth modifier checked against the place of service. All of it before you press Submit, under your own NPI. Farela doesn't check benefits — you verify eligibility the way you do today.
A biller receives your note and keys it in. Farela never needs the handoff.
The payment comes back to the claim
Farela pulls the remittance, matches each payment to the claim it belongs to, and translates the denial codes into plain English. One list of what was paid, what was short, and why.
No payer portal, no clearinghouse tab. No spreadsheet.
The EHR is free. Billing is the only thing you pay for.
Everything up to the claim — recording, note, clients, scheduling — has no monthly fee and no card. You pay only on claims an insurer actually pays, never on what was merely submitted. No clearinghouse bill, no setup cost.
A subscription EHR costs the same in a month where no claim pays. That month, Farela costs you nothing.
Pricing
The EHR is free. You only pay when you get paid.
No monthly fee, no minimum, no setup cost, no separate clearinghouse bill. The EHR — chart, clients, scheduling — the recording and the note cost nothing whether or not you bill through Farela. If a claim never pays, it never costs you anything.
A subscription EHR charges the same in a month where no claim pays. Billing services typically take 5–8% of what you collect, and most still leave the EHR to you. Farela includes the EHR and the note, builds the claim from it, and posts the payment back when it lands.
Charged only on claims that were actually paid — never on what was merely submitted. A claim that never pays never costs you anything.
Paid means the insurer sent money on the claim. A claim that goes entirely to the deductible, or is denied, is never charged. We ask for a card only when there's a paid claim to charge it for.
